We love doing weddings along the California coast, especially summer weddings at a gorgeous private ranch in Big Sur. Caroline and Jordan got married at Rancho Rico last June, and their wedding day will be one we will always remember. Rancho Rico leaves guests in awe with a ceremony site on the edge of the cliff and acres of open pastures and redwood groves. Seascape Flowers made a beautiful alter to frame out the ceremony area, and the fog lifted just before the wedding began, opening to gorgeous blue skies. Each guest created custom bundles of herbs (each herb had a different meaning) to toss over the bride and groom at the end of the ceremony – which not only looked cute on site, but also had great symbolism that we loved!
During the rehearsal the weather was dark and dreary, so we decided last minute to tent the reception area to avoid a damp and cold dinner. The tent created a lovely and intimate space, complete with string lights, long farm tables, and beautiful garlands. As the sun set, the sky turned brilliant shades of pink and orange – a perfect end to a magical wedding day!
