Place Setting

After deciding on budget, booking vendors, and finding the perfect dress, the fun part of wedding planning begins. Now is the time to start deciding on the overall design and aesthetic of the wedding. A big part of this design process is picking out the table decor- from linens, to floral, to dinnerware and flatware. To give you some inspiration on place setting options we have compiled a gallery of various ideas from formal to casual settings. First you will need to decide whether you like the look of a formal place setting - including multiple knives, forks, spoons, glasses and plates - or a casual setting - with a knife, fork and water glass - or any range in between!

Formal

Casual

Once you have chosen formal or casual dinnerware, glassware, and flatware, the next step is to put it all together, including the napkin, menu and place cards (if using them). We often decide on the napkin fold the day of the wedding as we see what looks best, but there are many fold options. It can be hung under the plate or folded on top, have a pocket for menus or greenery, tied with greenery or a place card...the list goes on and on. See below for some of our favorite napkin and place setting ideas!
