Having trouble figuring out what to say on your wedding invitations? Today we wanted to share with you a great post from Aerialist Press & Foiled Invitations about proper invitation etiquette. To tell you more we will turn it over to the owner and lead designer, Alexandra.

Alexandra: Happy engagement and congratulations! It’s Alexandra from Aerialist Press & Foiled Invitations here. I would first love to send a huge thank you to Heidi, Karissa and Coastside Couture for having us guest post with them today!

You’ve found your dream venue, and wedding planning is in full effect! Many questions start to arise, and one that will pop up early on is how to word your wedding invitation and what should and shouldn’t be included. We get it, deciding on verbiage etiquette and timing isn’t as lovely as sitting down for your food and dessert tasting or choosing that perfect dress. This is where we come in!

We’ve created a fun and easy guide and info-graphic listing the different aspects of an invitation with the top do’s and don’ts. We are fans of using pro tips whenever possible and have added a few of our favorites, guiding you on what all the attire options are, our top wording picks and what to know about registry sharing.

We have also put together a complete listing of 21 wording examples for every style of celebration. (See below for some examples.) You can check out a full guide here, with all the wording variations you could possibly need. We also have a save the date wording resource to give you a bit of inspiration if you’re not quite ready to decide on invitations as of yet.

Haven’t seen what you’re looking for? We would love to answer any specific questions below in the comments. Happy planning!
