A.K.A “The Show”
Heidi worked her first wedding as a server at a Bed and Breakfast at age 16, and was hooked! Now Heidi’s resume encompasses over 20 years of Hospitality experience including being a Food and Beverage Manager at Chaminade Resort in Santa Cruz, as well as the Food and Beverage Director at the Faculty and Conference Center at UCSC before starting her 9 years as Lead Planner for Couture. Obsessions include coffee, Audrey Hepburn movies, books, food and wine, travel, high heels and anything that sparkles. When Heidi’s not working on fabulous events you can find her hanging out with her Hubby, two children, two dogs Biscuit and Gravy and Leo the cat. As a former Chef Heidi loves cooking, and spends hours in the kitchen creating new dishes. She loves yoga and her morning walks with her dogs. She could live on french fries, cheese, olives, and a good New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. She loves to start her Sunday’s off with a heavenly garnished Bloody Mary.
A.K.A. “Little Miss Sunshine”
Karissa has a long and distinguished Career in Hotel Event Management. After time working for the Boutique Hotel Collection in San Luis Obispo, Karissa moved North and worked in Event Management for the Coastal Resort of Costanoa. Since then she has spent 10 wonderful years as the Lead Planner for Coastside. Passions include flip flops, adventure, anything pink, frilly and lacy, the ocean, wine, and her little “black book” of connections. She loves to mountain bike in the mud with her Hubby and run with her fur babies Mingus the Chihuahua and Sally the Aussie. This athletic spit fire is well known for her head full of curly locks and her quick laugh. She loves all things cheese (ask her about her other nickname) and a great glass of wine. Karissa doesn’t own a TV and cannot stay awake in movie theaters. She prefers the outdoors! The newest addition to her clan is her sweet son Miles, who is destined to be the ultimate Cali beach kid.
Kayla graduated from San Jose State University with a degree in Hospitality Management and is at the center of most things going on with Coastside Couture. Monday through Friday you can find her manning the desks at the Couture House, cup of coffee in hand. This Santa Cruz native is an expert on our extensive local vendor network. She has been with Coastside Couture since the beginning of 2012 when she started as an intern. She loves all the details that go into planning an event. Her favorite moment of a wedding are seeing the happy couple bust a move on the dance floor and when the cake comes out. She is a big fan of french fries, reality TV shows, and all things desserts, especially donuts and cookies!
A.K.A. “Our Associate Planner”
Sonia joined Coastside Couture in 2013 as our Associate Planner. Her wedding experience includes time at Regale Winery & Vineyards and Testarossa Winery as well as working for Oh How Charming! In Beverly Hills. Sonia’s passions include the ocean, her herb garden, hiking in the redwoods with her boxer/pit mix Soren, sailing with her hubby on their 1956 wooden sailboat “easy rigger”, and most of all having friends & family over for BBQ’s & jam sessions! Sonia loves all things Scandinavian. Obsessions include succulents, stationary, the color green and mustard yellow. She is well known for her impeccable ability to create darling vignettes at her weddings.
